Some pics show, others don't....?

Can anyone explain to me why some pictures show and others don't? When I go to the Before and Afters thread and the Picture Page, only some of the pics show. They will say:

Before surgery pic

Current pic

however there are no pictures. No attachement, no link, nothing. Others show up just fine. Do I have a setting that needs to be changed? And why does it just happen on some pics and not all of them?

Any suggestions?

Lots of things could be going on. It could be a browser setting. It could be that the people made the post, and then deleted the pictures --or never actually posted the pictures to begin with. I'm not seeing it on my end, so if you can refer me to a few post numbers that are doing it for you, I will go have a look. :)

Some may be deleted but I know something else must be happening on my end because people will post comments on how nice they look or whatever and I see nothing. I am listing several pics in case some of them have been deleted. Here are some of them that I don't see pics on:
