So my nurse from UHC called me yesterday to give me the good news that I'm approved!! She said she just got off the phone with my drs coordinator and let her know, so I should be getting a call shortly to schedule surgery. Being ever so patient, I waited until noon today without hearing anything from surgeons office. I just called the drs coordinator and was told they won't schedule anything until they receive the written approval. Through the mail. Arrrrrgggghhh!!

The holidays are coming fast and I really need to get something on the calendar so we can arrange for coverage at work when lots of people will be taking vacation time. Annoying.

I also have uhc and heard the same thing. I called uhc and was told my provider could call a special number to get the approval number. Doc office did that and everything is moving forward.

Everything ended up working out. My insurance called me with approval on Monday and dr hat Friday afternoon my drs office called me to schedule. My surgery was 11/21 and all is going well!

Hi river girl when you did your 3 month diet did you loose a lot of pounds I ask this cause I was in my 6 month diet and I was scare to loos a lot so my bmi wouldn't come low my last weigh in is on Friday 17 21014 so I don't know wat gonna happen

My NUT told me that my insurance papers would be submitted with my original weight/BMI from my first visit. My BMI was 40.1 and was in danger of going below 35. There was no problem getting approval.
