My procedure is scheduled for this next Friday. What should I expect?

It was a nervous yet exciting time for me. The surgery itself was quite painless. I experienced more pain with my gull bladder surgery and bouts of pancreatitis. My advice is to follow your physician/nut/surgeons orders and u will be just fine. Following the phases back to reg diet is so important so we can let our new sleeve heal properly. Prepare for a life changing experience. I am only 18 days post op and there are tons of changes, totally thinking differently about food. Best of luck and I look forward to hear your progress!

That depends! I was sleeved in August (down 50 lbs). I was worried about all kinds of things. Were they going to use a catheter? Were they going to shave me? How much time will I have to take off work? Jeez, am I ever glad all that is behind me! BTW- no catheter, shaved from waist to nipples. Went back to very light duty after 5 days.

What's really next is trying to get in all your water, protein, exercise, vitamins, and other "rest of your life" things. Also what's next is enjoying your new life. Good luck!

I had my surgery October 16th and it went very well. 11 days later I lost 19 pounds. The only problem is I had some gas. And that was not that bad. Good luck to you
