Does anyone know if BLue Cross Blue Shield-Horizon Advantage Epo of NJ cover the sleeve? How long do you have to wait for approval? Do they ask for you to wait 3months? 6months? Any specifics I should be aware??? Please respond I am literally paying almost $400 a month just to get the surgery...

Did you find the information you need? It should actually be outlined in the coverage book they sent you when you signed up for the insurance. Mine does cover it (I have HBCBSNJ Direct Access) and I'm paying about $900 per month.

As far as I know from what I've read on their application, you must have a BMI over 40, have tried a monitored conservative weight loss attempt at some point in the last year, and be over the age of 18.

I know I had you all excited in the other thread about horizon and them covering my surgery. But I see that u have BCBS Advantage. Not sure what that is. Mine is Horizon BCBS HMOAccess. Not sure if they are the same so I really hope it gets covered for you, especially since you switched insurance companies. Which doctor are you using?
