Approval question

I emailed my ins coordinator to let me know when they sent in to ins and she never did. I called my ins company today and it has been submitted and they sent the letter out on the 11th she said the notes said that my surgery meets criteria so does that mean approved?

You insurance company should be able to fax a copy of the letter they sent out on the 11th. Ask for that because seeing it in writing is the only sure way to know it is approved by your insurance company.

I had a similar "fiasco"..... so I got the letter faxed to me. Huge relief to know it was officially approved. then I called my ins coordinator and gave her a copy of the letter to; got to the bottom of the disconnect as well. Then called the surgery coordinator and got the ball rolling with pre-op and surgery scheduling. Only after that was I able to sleep!

You might want to try this. Hope it goes well!
