Hi, my name is ICanDoThisVA and I'm a food addict. I'm also a real picky eater. And today, I had such a small victory. At the grocery store, I picked up some healthier meats (like salmon and turkey meatballs) and cleaned out my freezer. Everything in the freezer went - left over birthday ice cream cake, the hot dogs, the pizzas, even some old ground hamburger with freezer burn that was buried in the back. I'm hoping to try out some new foods now and will feel more comfortable about finding things I like post-surgery (and not reaching out for the things I used to like pizza - which I used to say would cover all the food groups in one meal). I don't know what possessed it. I've been holding out until I knew a surgery date. (I'm too close to the BMI border to lose weight yet and lose eligibility for the surgery.)
But today - I did it!
