Prayers Would Be Appreciated!

Hi! So I was denied for the sleeve by my insurance MVP because they do not view it as medically necessary but they will cover the band or bypass... I have mailed in my appeal letter and any prayers and good thoughts you guys can send my way would be much appreciated!!! Keeping my fingers and toes crossed!!!

Holy Cow, really? I can't imagine they actually think removing your entire stomach in place of just removing 85% of it can be a better option. The decision makers at insurance companies sometimes make me wonder what in the world they are thinking. Perhaps it landed on someone's desk who had NO idea what a VSG was and denied it simply for no knowing instead of taking the time to learn what it is. If you meet all the requirements, and it's one of the covered procedures in your policy.....FIGHT! Stay on them and see if you can get your surgeon or primary to send letters on your behalf as well letting them know they recommend the surgery and give the reason(s) why.

Good luck! You've got prayers from me!
