Stupid Mvp!

I finally got a call back from my insurance company today after waiting for 2 weeks and it is to tell me that they are denying my request because they need proof that I would not be a candidate for gastric bypass before they will cover the sleeve! Is this crazy or is it just me??

    My surgeon is calling the medical director at MVP to see if they can change their mind, but I am really bummed! Roux-n-y is not an option for me! This is stupid, insurance companies should not be able to deny what your doctor requests!! Appealing is just going to push my surgery back even longer! :o(
