After completing requirements and all the drama my paperwork was finally submitted Monday. The surgeons office lmost my paperwork several times, and waited a month after i completed everything to tell me they couldn't use the medical records i provided. After that month had passed i changed my gameplan. I have been calling the surgeons office almost every day about records. Even had to threaten to change surgeons. I personally went and obtained all medical records from any doctors i had visited in the past 2yrs and marked my weight with sticky notes. Then made the "patient coordinator" review all the sticky notes with me. Then I made sure they would submit it Monday and call me as soon as it's done. This may seem too much but no one is going to be a better advocate for you than yourself. I'm usually pretty passive but feel better i made this happen. Now here's to hoping the response from cigna comes back in the week it seems to take for most people.
