Insurance After Surgery

So I have a surgery date set for August 1st, 2012. I am worried about how difficult it will be to obtain insurance after my surgery. I will be getting my own insurance in about 3 years. Anyone experience a rough time?

      If you plan to get it through an employer, you are automatically eligible. And I believe if you are in the US, the Affordable Care Act will be doing away with "pre-existing" somewhere in the future as

    Good question. My insurance has a WLS exclusion and won't ever cover anything related to it. So if I need my gallbladder out later, they won't pay. But, I haven't told my PCP yet, so it not in my record yet. I'm thinking about never saying anything...
