Shellfish In Protein Powders

I'm allergic to shellfish and certain proteins contain shellfish in them can anyone suggest a protein shake that would not cause me these allergies and is flavorful I'm looking to purchase samples to try them out before surgery. Thanx :) :)

Thanx I'll look into this one my nutritionist said she would do some reserearch and let me know some brands I can use but before I see her again I'm doing research on my own and trying things out to see what I'm comfortable with a appreciate the feedback :)

I would think you would be okay if you selected a 100% whey Protein powder, since whey is made from dairy products.

Of course, read the label carefully and all that jazz...

Yes cookies that's exactly what my nutritionist said I'm looking for sample packets to try out to see which one I like best so I can be ready for when my day comes :)

I use a RTD shake.. Premier Protein.. I have a shellfish allergy as well and I haven't had any problems...

Thannx Favoredone I will look into it.

I'll second the remark on the Body Fortress Protien Shakes. It's sold at WalMart and is cheaper than alot of others out there. It tastes as good or better than most in chocolate and vanilla. I didn't like the strawberry though. I like strawberry but have not been able to find any brand of strawberry that doesn't taste yuckee. Instead, I mix a vanilla shake and add 1/3 of an individual packet of strawberry Crystal Lite. Much better. Also, be advised that you can get flavor extracts like you use in baking and add those to any flavor shake you like to keep the variety up. Coconut, banana, pineapple and orange are available.
