venison= red meat?

Well my husband is an avid hunter and usually we eat venison throughout the year. Is venison considered red meat? I've tried the turkey burger and it isnt bad but it is hard for me to fix the family one meal and something totally different for myself. Please help!

    Red meat is considered from any 'hoofed' animal, so yes, venison falls into that category. :)
