Thursday I went to for the post op appt.
I was shocked to see that my port was where my port is !!!!!
I asked him if he could prescribe me anything for the b!tchies and he just laughed. I did not.
I am down 18.5 pounds. - thats his scales - mine still show a 17.5 and I am following mine.
He told me not to watch calories. To do: high protien, low to no sugar, low carbs. He said to just focus on a well rounded balanced diet.
I am mentally a mess. I do not want to eat anything with calories or carbs.
I keep eating things that are void of anything. Greenbeans, vegtable broth.. I have splurged and had Taco Bell's Pintos and cheese and today had some almonds - 8 protiens, 3 carbs, and way too much salt. So, I will have to deal with Water retention!
Tomorrow we are having friends over for poker, and I plan on serving sandwhich fixings, they can build their own on good rolls. I can have the turkey rolled in cheese.
PLain and simple: If I eat only protien rich foods, and stay away from carbs and sugar, I should loose right? Thats the Atkins diet in a nut shell right?
My appt for a fill is May 18 - and I asked him to be aggresive about this.
I am trusting him, and he better be!!!
So, what are you thoughts? You guys have helped so much in keeping me grounded!!!
AND!!! Today I wore a pair of capri pants and a top I have not worn in almost a year!!! They were that stretchy material, but I am still happy about it. SMALL STEPS ... it's going to be a journey of small steps!
