New and nervous

I am new to this forum. Have been reading alot and learning as well . I finally got up the nerve to call the local doctors office and sent in my paperwork. They were to contact me within 5 days and its been two weeks.. So still waiting to schedule my initial consult .

Nervous and second guessing myself ... But so sick of losing the same 30 pounds over and over again. My BMI is just over 40 so haven't been eating well .. Anticipating that they will put me on a diet after that appt. ( need to lose 5%.. That shouldn't be hard as I've done that 100 times );)

Any advise would be welcomed as I haven't told hardly anyone..

Welcome and congratulations for caring enough about yourself to take the first step! If you haven't heard from the doctor's office, call and ask them what's the hold up! Sometimes paperwork gets lost or they just fail to realize how urgent something is to you. Best advice I can give you is don't be nervous and don't anticipate anything. Go in with an open mind and see what they have to say. If you don't like what they say, there's always someone else to check with. There's no need to tell anyone if you don't want to because there are a whole bunch here just waiting to put their two cents worth in! :P

Thanks...I did call and they said they were behind . And that I would hear yesterday .. So I'm not convinced . I know their will be alot of steps to this process so getting used to some patience is good I suppose. I just want to get the ball moving.
