I am researching Lapband vs RNY as my surgeon told me I could decide which one. I would like to know about 'fills'....how often do they have to be done, how successful are they? Is this a 'yoyo' type thing where you feel full and then don't and start eating larger amounts and then have to go back and get a refill? That's what it sounds like from some of the posts. Confused. Also, does insurance cover fills for life or do you have to pay for them after a year?
I like the idea of the safer lapband but I do eat a lot, have a tough time dieting...so wondering how this would work for me. Not sure of the other questions I should be asking so fire away with what ever else you might think I need to think about prior to my decidion.
Thanks so very much....
