Any Experiences With Post-Op Stress And Taking Zoloft?

Hello everyone,

I had my lap band surgery on April 24, 2012. Right after the surgery I couldn't think clearly, or process information well. That has continued up to today. Also, I have noticed and my long term boyfriend has noticed that I get angry so much more quickly, I go from 0-60 in under 10 seconds. My weight loss surgeon (his nurse practitioner actually) has said that the blood tests/nutrition tests have all come out fine and suggested that I see my primary doctor. I met with my primary doctor yesterday and he said that one of his other patients who had lap band surgery had the same exact symptoms after surgery, and that he prescribed her liquid zoloft and that it helped immensely with her moods and with being able to think more clearly and that she only needed it for a few months to get through the rough patch. He said that the drop in weight can cause a drop in the seratonin levels in the brain. Have any of you had the same types of symptoms and used zoloft to help it? Did it help? Thanks in advance for your responses.
