Nine days until surgery and I get a phone call that my surgery was denied. So now I am scrambling around trying to get medical records from my Dr. I hope this is a quick fix.

Wait, were you approved and then denied?? I thought most surgery dates aren't even scheduled until you are approved?

As far as I know I was all set to go. My surgery is scheduled for the 23rd. I am supposed to start my diet tomorrow. I am not sure what to do. They said They are going to appeal but who knows how long that will take.

Who is your insurance company? And is it a hospital or center? Just curious cause I am about to go through that hurdle too.

My network gives surgery date when all is done except insurance approval. Seemed odd but in the pre-surgery meeting they said they are confident of you qualifying so it may be a matter of surgeon calling and you can get appealed approval but it might delay you.... good luck. I'm feeling worried about the same issue.

I have blue cross. I am having my surgery at the surgery center. I am hoping the appeal comes through quick.
