:confused: I was wondering if anybody has/had medicaid in Michigan for the lap-band. What kind of problems (games) and headaches they put you through? I actually have what they call a spend down account which is like a co-pay every months that I use the insurance, but ANY info I can get on the medicaid will help.

Joh have you looked at the Michigan forum in the State section? There don't seem to be a bunch of folks from Michigan. But maybe they might have some insight into your question. I'm from Texas sorry I can't help. M

It appears Michigan Medicaid may cover the Lap Band.

The CPT code for the Lap Band is 43770, and it appears to be covered.

Thank you for some kind of answer, and it helps me want to go on with this. I have had a very hard time finding anyone who had/has this medicaid and embarked on this journey. I did at least find out through the Cory Center here that they do require 12 month supervised diet. I started that today, but 12 months is a long ways away, so we'll see when we get there... Again, thank you very much.
