How Long did the process take?

I went to my first seminar way back in August. The surgeons here require you to attend a seminar, meet with the dr. to make sure you are a canadate, have a psych eval., meet with a dietician....then begin the long process of getting permission from the insurance company. I know they told me it would be a good 5 or 6 months, but it seems like you all are getting in A LOT quicker than that. Maybe it's because Maine is the end of the earth and we don't have as many drs.? Very frustrating I can tell you to finally make up your mind that this is for you and then have to wait and wonder for sooooo long. Sigh...I guess I'll just keep hanging on. It's kind of like being pregnant and watching everyone else have their babies and you're still waiting for your delivery date. LOL..I know, I think of things in very weird ways. Forgive me.
