Does anyone know if Tricare Prime is now using the same requirements as the FDA, approving Lap Band for BMI 30 and above? I am 75 pounds overweight and have several qualifing conditions, sleep apnea, .... Or, can someone give me some advice?

Thanks

Tricare requires 35-39.9 bmi with signifigant comorbidities or 40+ bmi without. You also have to prove that you have tried other weight loss with your dr but have failed. New requirements for tricare.... http://manuals.trica...ame=TP02toc.pdf

it is under surgery and then 13.2 I believe (surgery for morbid obesity)
