Hi, I am waiting for approval from my insurance company, my paperwork was submitted on March 10 to BCBS. I just need to know if everyone called their insurance companies, I'm kind of afraid of being a pain in the butt, I'm scared they will boot me to the end of the line every time I call but this is the hardest part of the whole 6 month process.

My papers were sent on the 21 of March to BCBS we can wait together. I haven't called insurance yet but I keep going onto website to see if it is in system. I will call on Monday....kind of afraid to get rejected , you are correct this is the hardest part.

Woo-hoo!! I got approved today, my surgery is April 15 which also happens to be my 35th birthday. My mom is also having Lap Band on the same day!!!

I hope you get approved soon, I got frustrated because I read other posts that people had been approved in hours, but it'll be worth the wait I'm sure! Good luck to you, I'm sure you'll be approved!

Do you have BCBS of Florida. I have just found a surgeon, there are not many, only 3 in Orlando area. I have not made the appointment yet, will do it tomorrow. Want this bad. I hope it is slow and healthy that way I do not get loose skin.

I have Mt State BCBS, or Highmark now, in WV but everything with them went smoothly so hopefully it will with you too, let me know...Good luck!!
