  1. I agree with you! And just like you I have no restriction right now. I don't understand it. I hope everything is okay. The scale starting back moving so I'm guessing its fine. I can't wait til my one month post op appt to be sure.
  2. I've only told family and 2 close friends who dont know each other at all. I refuse to tell my other four friends because they have never struggled with their weight and have made negative comments about people having the surgery. Also, i would have been completely annoyed with explaining it to them. That would have really drove me crazier than anything else. Ive been doing well hiding it from them so far. My inlaws are here right now so its perfect cause I haven't been able to hang out with them in this beginning phase of my banding where i can only eat soft foods.
  3. Carmen, That's nice. I can't wait til I'm in the 260s. I'm right there but I'm waiting on the scale to jump. Since I've been on mushies, the scale is not moving. I'm down to 271. Hopefully I will see 268/9 this weekend.
  4. Thanks everyone for the advice. I needed to read that. It made me feel much better.
  5. Good Afternoon fellow lap bandsters,Before my surgery, I was 303 lbs. I got down to 290 before I started the liquid diet. Pre-surgery weight was 279 lbs. First appointment post surgical weight was 272 lbs. Does that seem right? I mean I have heard of stories of people saying that they lost 10 - 13 lbs the first week after surgery. This wasn't the case for me. I'm not giving up so soon but i guess I was expecting more.
