  1. Hi luv, I understand how you are feeling. It took me 2 years to finally take the plunge and have the band fitted which was done 5 days ago. My friend had hers done about 2 years ago in Belgium, she was over 20 stone and is now at a healthy 9 stone I dont think it's a miracle, I would say it's more of a tool as you have to work with the band to lose weight. For me, I tried everything under the sun and the band really was a last resort and I am determined to work with it. No one can really tell you yes go for it or no dont as it's your choice at the end of the day. Sorry I couldnt help more x
  2. Hi, I was banded 5 days ago and only uncomfortable thing I am having is the tenderness in my stomach but its not sore, gets better every day and I can pretty much move about. Not so good if I cough though lol! I'm not aware of the port either and i'm sure I read that shoulder pain is wind, maybe you can get something for the chemist for that? Hope it eases soon but I wouldn't worry, everyone is different x
