  1. My doctor has a machine called a calorimeter that tells you how many calories your particular body needs to maintain your weight. You need to adjust the amount based on activity level.
  2. I am 62 and was banded just about a year ago. I am down 80 lbs and am feeling wonderful. Good luck to all of you just starting out. It takes a lot of work and support from others.
