Operaboy

I decided to do the lap band after failing at loosing weight for many years now.  18 months ago my mother passed away and I added another 40lbs, this last 40lbs really has been the worse.  I can feel it when I walk up stairs, trying to sleep, flying in an airplane - can't ride roller coasters!  I'm an actor and singer by trade and it is limiting what I feel like I can do comfortably in a dance call at auditions.  I decided I would meet with a specialist and talk about the possibility of surgery.  I was recommended to Dr Pucci by a friend who recently was banded.  She is having good success and was very pleased with the DR and staff.  I went to his office - met him and asked all 500 questions I had. Decided on the spot it was time to really commit.  I did the nutrionalist eval that day came back a week later to do the psychological eval.  Did all the blood tests..etc.  Found out I was a good candidate  - they took care of the Insurance and getting clearance and six weeks later I was ready to go.  Its been one week exactly since I had the band put in and its already changing my life.  I do feel like its a little all consuming at the moment. I sort of think about it all day long but I think as I adjust to normal life that will change.  I look forward to healing and meeting my goal weight and being able to ride rollercoasters again!
