I'm from Keller. I was banded oct 27. I too need some motivation.

15 lbs is great. I lost 11 in 1 and 1/2 weeks. I havent been back to drs office to weigh so not sure where i am right now. come over to the im here to help thread. There are alot of great ppl there to talk to. Chris

Hey man, I know what you mean. I am just 2 weeks post op. trust me when i tell you it gets better. Just remember why you started this journey and think of how you will feel when you at your goal weight.

I'm from Texas.

I was banded on oct 27. So two weeks post op. I am just now starting to get hungry. I was doing cream based soups day two. Just ran them through the blender. I had no problems with them, but go by what your dr says you should eat. You can do anything for a few days to a couple weeks. From my understanding weeks 2 through first fill are the worst. I am scheduled for my first fill on nov 30. Can't wait

I use true results in euless. My dr is John Marsden. I really like them. They have worked harder for me then the group my wife went through.

Another guy here.. Congrats to all who have started their new lives. Good luck to all the rest of us that are waiting to get there. I can't wait to get started on mine as well. My band date is Oct 27. Preop starts wed 13. Getting really excited.

Good luck. Just keep telling yourself why you are doing this.. I agree if you look for ways out now you will keep doing it from now on. Trust me I am one of those ppl. I start my preop diet on the 13th. My band day is the 27. I cant wait. :thumbup:

I have been really nervous my self. I'm not getting banded till the 27. I found videos of the both of my surgerys on YouTube. I am having AC joint in my shoulder fixed at the same time that I get banded. The vids are really cool. I recomend watching them if you can. Good luck to all Oct bandsters this week. I am just wondering if anyone knows anything about dr Marsden. I have seen him a couple of times. He has been real easy to talk too. I am getting banded Oct27. I chose him because I am having shoulder surgery done at Baylor trophy club and am having the band done at the same time. He was rcomended by my PCP. Any info would be great. Chris

Hello everyone. My name is Chris. I was just approved on 9/23/10. My surgery is scheduled for Oct 27. I am so excited to finally have a chance to be healthy.. I am 35 yrs old, 6ft 350lbs. My goal weight is somewhere around 220. I am also having some work done to my shoulder at the same time. Most of the doctors and other medical ppl i have talked to keep telling me that i am going to hurt. I am starting to get a little nervous. This will be my first surgery, so i guess my issue is all the unknown. I watched my wife go through this procedure Nov 20 2009. She has had a pretty easy time with the band. She has lost 40lbs so far. I welcome your support,encouragement and advice. Chris
