  1. I slept in a recliner for 5 nights, only way I could get comfortable
  2. I'm in, my first challenge too. Banded on 10/1.
  3. 5 days post op here. On mushy food and doing ok. I can start having fish and chicken next week, can't wait. Still some incision pain at port site, only taking pain meds at night to sleep better. 10lbs down so far. Look forward to reading about others and their journey to a new life
  4. I just got banded self pay too and hope for no complications. I am on a payment plan thru carecredit.com for my surgery. You may want to check into financing. Good luck.
  5. Day 5 post op for me. I feel so much better today. I'm down 10lbs since surgery. No regrets at all here! Good luck everyone
  6. I had my surgery on Friday, went home the same day. The scale was up 4lbs the next morning. This morning when I weighed I was down 8lbs. It's just the fluids they give you, it will come off.
  7. Day 3 post-op for me. Started mushy foods yesterday. Each day gets a little better. I have one incison that is still really sore and makes it still hard to sleep in the bed so I'm staying in the recliner at night. Eating diluted creme soups and pureed veggies and having no problems. I feel I'm over the worst and on my way to a healthy body. Down 8lbs since surgery.
  8. i have gummy Bcomplex, Calcium and got Flinstones Complete) My doctor said not to use gummys, they may get stuck so be careful
  9. One day at a time. Will be nice to see what everyone else experiences in this journey. Good luck to all.
  10. I had my surgery yesterday and everthing went fine. I would love to have you as a support buddy since we are being banded around the same time. I think we are close to the same age too, I'm 52. I know you will do fine and we can keep in touch.
  11. I got my band yesterday. Surgery was at 8am and was out of there by 2pm. I am a little sore but nothing major, mainly when I move. Gas has not been a big problem except when I try to eat chicken broth. I stayed on clear liquids yesterday and today Im sipping on a protein shake with no problems. I have to say Im not hungry at all. Good luck everyone. So far so good with me.
