So I have been doing my research for about a year now and have made up my mind to get my lap-band® done with Dr. Huacuz in TJ. My insurance does not cover the procedure so I will be paying out of pocket $4500 for the procedure. My friend, her mom, sisters and cousin all got their lap-bands done by Huacuz and other surgeons that work/worked there. They all had great experiences so I trust that he will do the same for me. Is there anyone out there that has had their lap-bands done in Mexico or by Dr. Huacuz and have experiences to share?

I am new here as well....hi everyone....I am going in on October 15th to be banded and am very excited!!! I am not having my surgery done here in the US because my Health Insurence won't cover it. So I am going to TJ to have it done. Paying out of pocket....sucks but it will be well worth it in the end!
