  1. Hello, I did weight watchers and excercised and lost 45 pounds before my surgery and everything was fine, a friend of mine was not aloud to lose more than 10 pounds but not aloud to gain. I think it depends on your insurance/doctor. Good luck!
  2. I have to agree, you have done great, I on the other hand I haven't really lost anything since my December 6th surgery, I am very frustrated, just spoke to the dietician today and she says I may not be getting enough calories, going to try to eat a little more, I am getting enough protein and water so don't know what else it can be.
  3. Hello all I was banded on December 6th and have only lost 2 pounds since. I did really well for the 6 months preop and lost 45 pounds. I was just wondering if this lack of weight loss is normal, I am becoming very frustrated and worried. I am not eating alot and I am drinking the amount of Water I should, I also make sure I get my Protein daily, I have started doing Zumba this week (hopefully that will help). Any suggestions or support would be great. Thanks Melanie
  4. I I am also having surgery tomorrow getting very nervous and excited. good luck
  5. It so depends on your Dr/Insurance company, it has been exactly 6 months I had to see my pcp 6 times in 6 months for weight checks I had to lose 10% of my weight during that time, see a pulminologist, cardiologist, stress test, psychologist and now finally surgery on Monday Dec 6. Good luck!!!
  6. I have read a lot of different varieties of pre op diets, mine consits of two weeks of "shakes" can be slim fast or similar and fruits and veggies only. The first few days I really felt icky, now I just want to eat! doesn't matter what, I thought I would be ok with fruits and veggies, but I am craving meat and cheese. Well I only have one more week so hopefully I can make it without cheating. If anyone has any suggestions on what else I can eat I would be glad to hear from you.
  7. hl Hello, I am also new to this site, and am having surgery on December 6, I am excited but also a little scared, this preop diet is killing me.
