I am 22 years old, and just started my Lap-Band Journey back in July.  My aunt and cousin both had Gastric Bypass Surgery and knew that at some point in my life weight loss surgery was going to be a topic of discussion because I have always struggled with my weight.  A year ago my mother had Lap Band surgery and has since lost over 100 lbs.  I got the motivation (and finally a job with good insurance benefits) to decide to try to get the surgery.  I am going on my 3rd month right now of my weight loss with my doctor, and will hopefully soon be referred to my surgeon.  I don't know much about this other than what my mom told me and hope this forum will get me more educated on my NEW future :)
