After many years of suffering with overweight, I finally made the decision to do something about it. So after about 2 months of seminars, doctor visits, testing and praying that my insurance would pay for the surgery I received the life changing news that I was approved. Today I am on my 2nd day of my pre-op diet and am scheduled for surgery on Sept 20th. I can not wait for what the future holds for me. It won't be easy, but then again being obese and always depressed it's either. Now I have hope and I haven't felt that way in years.

Wow over a year later... I'm down 81 pounds and loving it! The journey has not been easy... I guess I already knew that going into this but SOO worth it. There has been a ton of fustrations especially on weeks of gains or no lose but you just keep doing what you are supposed to do and it will move along. I am 27 pounds away from my goal and hope to soon be in my size 8 (currently a 12). I plan on going skydiving once I reach my goal. So remember to take it day by day, make smart food choices and exercise... you can do this Moni!!!
