My primary, pulminary and heart doctors have been pushing for weight loss operation for over 2 yrs now.I've been having to jump thru hoops for so long due to AHCCCS guifelines.I've been on a diet, going to monthy weigh ins, several free seminars, seen a dietistion, and been going to physical therapy until I developed a hernia from the program.During tests they also found a gallstone. Ny primary doxtor wants to do all 3 operations at once so there is less chance of complecations. One of the doctors I was refered to was Dr. Terry Simpson. The appointment was quick, his staff at rhat time was friendly. But for an AHCCCS contracted doctor he wanted to charge 1200.00 above the insurance.Alehough his office staff said they would try to get the fee waived, they would never return my calls.PHP member service was contacted and they again assured me as a contracted doctor for AHCCCS there would be no extra fee. I again contacted his office and was told his office manager was not in and they would have to call me back.which they never did.It is now been over 6 months sine I seen Mr Simpson, and am disappointed in his overal performance. Sp I'm still fighting for each referal to see a doctorwhile suffering thru the pain from the hernia and gallstone, which has already hosptialized me due to my inyestibes becoming trapped inthe hernia itself. So If there is someone out there that knows a doctor that does take AHCCCS. I would be thankfull for any firection or referal to.Sincerly, Brian
