  1. i have the book mentioned. It doesn't seem like the company gives much education either before or after surgery or am i missing something?
  2. What is the book you were given after surgery? What kind of pre op education did you have? How and when did you get the pre op education if you had any? What kind of post op education did you have? Do you feel you were prepared for the surgery and taking care of yourself and your sleeve after you got back home? How do you know when to progress to the different stages of the post op diet?
  3. what is the upper age limit for the band to sleeve revision?
  4. Does WILA or Banner help you with insurance? The surgeon's office I wanted to use said my insurance will not cover ANY bariatric services since I self paid for a band many years ago. They also said they 'do not get involved in insurance issues' and if I wanted an appeal I had to do it myself.
  5. Although several co workers with thee same coverage I have have been approved and have had or will be having surgery shortly I am not able to have ANY bariatric services because many years ago I paid myself for a lp band. The surgeons office I wanted to use will not even allow me to see a doctor to attempt an appeal or do a doctor to doctor call because they do not 'get involved with insurance issues'! I will turn 65 this year, does Medicare cover band to sleeve revisions? how can I find this out?
