  1. Oh and you dont even know the port is there. they put it in a layer of fat under the skin.
  2. my friend there is nothing to be nervous about....now i know everyone is different but i must say it wasnt that bad. I was at my kids football game the next night. You will be sore from the incisions and uncomfortable from the air that gets in your abdomen but really not that bad. By the 3rd day i felt just about normal again. I was back to work in 10 days. I just had my first fill today and that wasnt bad either. Good Luck!!!!
  3. Ok so I am a little slow to this computer thing. How do you get that weight tracker on my post.
  4. Just a shot in the dark here, but I have heard if your protein intake is high and your not drinking enough water you can have kidney problems....with or with out the band.
  5. how do you put those weight trackers on????
  6. Welcome!! I am about a month out of being banded and i must say the best thing i ever did!! You will be nervous prior to the surgery but from my own experience the surgery was a piece of cake. you will feel discomfort from the air that gets into your abdomen and that is probably the worst of it. The incisions didnt hurt that bad. I didnt even take the pain meds and i am a big baby when it comes to stuff like this lol. In fact I was at my sons football practice the next day. You will be tired from not having any protein but it comes and go's. Good luck!!!!
  7. Ok, I was not clear when i posted this, I skipped the blended meat and just ate slow cooker meat (really soft) and pretty much have been there since. Haven't really had the urge to progress further yet. Currently I am content with my shake in the am, mostly yogurt through out the day, then a small dinner. followed by a shake later on. Haven't really had an intrest in eating bread kinda affraid. I am going for my first fill next week. I also lost another 3lbs.
  8. Hello All, I had my band done on Aug 16th 2010. My start weight was 333.5 and as of today I am 312. I feel completely back to normal in all areas. My question is, I had my surgery 2 weeks ago and i have progressed thru the cycles faster than reccomended. I am eating soft meats, mashed potatoes and so on. Is this normal? I havent gained any weight and i have not had any problems so far. Has anyone else progressed fast like me?????
