Good luck to all of you!!! I am doing great so far but cant wait to b able to eat regular food!!! Start pureed tomorrow tho so that is a little better than liquid!! Keep up with posting your progress!! :cursing:

Well everyone is different but I can honestly say that I had really no pain. They sent me home with pain killer and I didnt take any of it there was no need. I am a hair dresser and stand all day I had my surgery on Tuesday August 17th was discharged from the hospital the next day and I went back to work Friday. The only discomfort was from all the gas they pump you up with but walking helps with that. Good luck and I hope all goes well!

Hello I am also in Dover I just had my surgery done on August 17th and I am not having any pain (lucky me I guess) lol but still just walking not trying to do any strenuous exercise yet so that I dont end up hurting myself!! how are you doing so far? I am doing great I love it but cant wait to eat real food instead of liquid lol Good luck to u !!

Just a piece of advice normally insurance will not cover the surgery unless u have a BMI of at least 40 or 100 pounds overweight. Hopefully they dont give u any problems but if they cover it for u go for it I just had mine done the 17th of August and I love it!

I Got my Lapband August 17th and am happy to say I am doing great I am so happy!!! I started my preop diet the week before my surgery. So far in 3 weeks I have lost 26 pounds and since the surgery itself I have lost 8 pounds!!! I was 299 and am now 273. My goal is 165!! My only problem is trying to get this glue off lol My doctor advised me that after 10 days if the strips were not off I could remove them so I did last night but that glue is some strong stuff I hope it comes off soon!
