  1. Hello! I am brand new here. I was going to post in Introductions but I am getting banded this month and thought I would post here first. I'm 38, currently weigh 248 and my bmi is 40. I actually don't have a final goal weight yet. I am giving myself lots and lots of small goals to keep myself motivated. My surgery is scheduled for 8/24. I have a bunch of appointments this week - chest x-ray, stress ekg, blood work, medical clearance and pre-surgical consult. It has taken me over 4 months to get approved by my insurance. I just found out last week that I was approved on appeal. I haven't really had the time to get nervous yet. It doesn't even seem real to me yet. Is anyone else getting banded on 8/24? Starting: 248 lbs, 40 BMI 1st goal: 224 (10% loss) 2nd goal: 212 wedding weight & wearing my wedding ring comfortably 3rd goal: 185 started dating my husband weight
