  1. Has anyone had problems with chest pains. Food not going down? What do you do about it? I had 2 fills, and after this last one, barely anything goes down. Has anyone else had this problem? It really hurst when it is sitting in your chest waiting to go down.
  2. I was banded on Monday, so tomorrow is Day 5. I have had a lot burping and gas pains. I also find it hard to get enough to drink since I am not very hungry and get full fast. My incision is still very sore and getting in and out of bed is sometimes a pain. I did notice that the port site is a bit more swollen the the other 2 incisions. I am hoping that it is just still swollen and will go down. It definately sticks out a bit. Any suggestions on how to get more in me during the day? I want to drink enough that I am still loosing. Any good suggestions for the gas and burping?

Hello all. I am on my 4th day afterwards. I have to admit I am still very sore on the big incision. I feel pretty good, not very hungry at all. Has anyone else experienced sore pain after the surgery? For how long should it last? I am still very happy and optimistic. HOORAY!!!

I am so excited I can't wait. I have been marking my calendar till I reach August 16th. The liquid diet hasn't been too bad at all. I actually lost 15lbs on my preop visit.
  5. Hello all, I am going to have my surgery on August 16. I am counting the days and minutes. I am so excited. My doctor has had me on a liquid diet. He wants it for 2 weeks prior to surgery. I started a little earlier, cutting out one mean and replacing it with a protein shake and then 2, till I had to actually start all liquid. It was been 8 days scrictly liquid. I think it is mind over matter. I want this so bad, so I don't feel like I am missing out not eating. I went for my preop last friday. When I got on the scale and was down 15 pounds I made her weigh me again, I didn't believe her. I am so happy and excited. If anyone needs encouragement, I am full of it lately. Good luck to all my other bandsters!!!
