  1. Hello, My husband and I are my mother in laws "support group" however we are not feeling like we are doing our job as a support team for her. She is 3 weeks post op and for the past week she has had, as she descibes it, "the worst stomach ache she has ever had." She did fine with the liquid diet for the first 2 weeks, but she tried to eat some yogurt and she said that ever since then her stomach has been hurting. That was a week ago. Is it still early to eat that? Is the pain somewhat normal for the early stages after the surgery? Right now she is feeling very alone as if she were the only person to have ever had this surgery because she has no one else to talk to who is experiencing or has experienced the same problems that she has thus far. She is now reduced back to the liquid diet, but is not eating very often due to the stomach pain. She says she is hungry but cannot tolerate eating enough to keep her full, which has led to low energy levels all day long and not feeling back to her "normal self". We are hoping to get some answers and to possibly have some comfort in knowing that other people who have had this procedure have felt the same way, and come out of it feeling better about having this procedure. Thank you in advance for your replies!!!
