  6. Starting full liquids tonight, going in for my 3rd fill. :)

  7. Hi Jackie, how're things coming along? How're coping with the band? I'm sorry I haven't kept in touch, I dont visit the site much anymore and there have been some changes with my job - all good - but keeping me busy! :).

I've dropped a little bit more weight but not much. I have good and bad days but I try to stay positive and focus on my end result. Let me know how you're doing.

    Lisa

  8. Bringing in the treadmill, it's time to start working out again.

  9. Had to put my treadmill in the garage to make room for the christmas tree. I figured I'd walk around the block or school field...sad to say, that hasn't happened yet.

  10. Feeling great, clothes are fitting better and I'm wearing my high heels again. Even my feet have slimmed some. LOL

  11. Hi Raychie, how're you doing? I just had my 2nd fill and honestly feel more restriction for now. I hope I see some weight loss soon. It's been a few weeks since the scale moved. Please let me know how things are with you.

  12. Hi Jackie, how's everything going so far? Have you lost more weight? I hit a plateau and I'm hoping with my recent adjustment I'll see some weight loss again. When is you first fill? Do you plan on going to the support group meeting on 12/22? I have a reminder on my phone. It would be nice to meet you.

  13. Running errands after work, got home late and was starving! Ate much to fast and got stuck! This was my first time and it was painful. I thought my chest was on fire. I tried to PB but wasn't able. It took a few minutes before I felt relief. great reminder to chew, chew, chew.

  14. added 2.5 cc's today. I can barely eat my jello but I'm not complaining. Could it be swelling due to the fill? Guess I'll know in a few days. Can't wait till I get to the "sweet spot". :)

  15. I'm going in for my 2nd fill today.

  16. Hi Jackie,

I'm glad to hear your surgery went well and that you're healing process is going smoothly. It's been a couple of weeks since I've lost anymore weight. I did well during Thanksgiving but I really need to work on making better food choices. I go for my 2nd fill tomorrow and I'm hoping it will jump start my weight loss again.

  17. I was banded on 9-30-10 and am so glad to know I'm not alone when it comes to slow weight loss. I have been so discouraged. I have lost 29 lbs so far, 20 of which was lost pre-surgery. So I 've dropped 9 lbs since surgery but expected to see more loss than I have. The good news however, is that I have been able to button up tops that I couldn't before. Thank you all for your posts and for helping to motivate me again.
  18. Hi Jackie, how did surgery go? I hope you're doing well. Hope to hear from you soon.

  19. Another thing, I got shingles a couple of weeks ago. My Dr. says it may have been caused by the stress of the surgery. It was very painful. I'm doing much better now and will be returning to work this Thursday. Talk to you soon!! Lisa

  20. Hi Jackie, so glad to hear that you have been given a clean bill of health and are cleared for surgery! I was worried and was glad to see your message that you were approved.

I didn't do so well in the beginning wasn't eating correctly & I began gaining weight. After my first fill I thought I felt restriction but, not for long. I spoke to another bander who had lost 45 lbs since surgery (we had it on the same day), I was only down 20 lbs from the liquid diet. He told me to wait 5 minutes in between bites. I'm sure that was told me before but I didn't remember.

I'm eating solids, mostly tuna and cottage cheese, yogurt and SF popsicles. Not much variety I know. I'm down about 29 lbs since I started my LB journey and only nine of those pounds came after surgery. I'm working out and feeling motivated once again.

Please know that I'm here for you anytime and look forward to hearing all about your surgery and recovery once you're all better.

    Happy to be losing again!

I developed shingles shortly after surgery and haven't had the energy to workout like I'm supposed to. However, today I was able to walk 1 mile on the treadmill again!! Afterwards got on the scale and I'm down 5 lbs since last Thursday!! I'm finally losing again. Can't wait to get back to work and away from the kitchen!! LOL. Another thing I noticed and it's pretty sad, is that the refrigerator and pantry are always full of food now! That's because the "garbage disposal" aka Me, isn't eating all the leftovers or raiding the pantry for snacks. :smile2: Thank goodness!!
  22. Hi Pete, welcome to the site!! I hope you enjoy it as much as I have. Let me know if you need help with posting your Avatar...I am no computer wiz but I might be able to help.

I took your advise about eating slower and it really made a difference. I felt satisfied and I stopped eating once there. This is really a life style change and I know in time, as I learn to listen to my body, I will see results.

Thanks so much for your support! God Bless!!

  23. Got my first band adjustment today, 3.5cc's. I feel restriction again! Ahhh! :)

  24. Hi Jackie, I've been thinking about you, how're you doing? Have you met with the specialist yet? I hope things are okay.

  25. Hi Jackie, I'm really sorry to hear that your surgery got pushed back but I'm thankful that it was caught now instead of later. I felt so bad for you after reading your message. I can only imagine how you felt. But keep your chin up this is just another hic-up in your journey, you will be banded soon.

I've been having some pain with my left shoulder, arm and neck (nothing to do w/surgery). My PT referred me to a physical therapist and I had my first session on Wed. Haven't been on this site too much due to the pain. I'm starting to feel better though and expect to recover soon.

As for the band, I'm currently in "bandster hell". I am so hungry and have had a difficult time staying out of the kitchen. I'm also having trouble balancing my meals. I need to plan my meals better so I get enough of my daily fiber. This is definitely a challange for me.

Jackie, please know that you're in my thoughts and prayers. Please keep me posted on your progress.
