  1. :drool:Dr. Richardson performed my surgery on 7/22/10. I did not meet him until 2 days prior to surgery and was alittle nervous. He was professional and to the point. I am used to getting to know my physicians and this was different. I did not see him after surgery because a resident did rounds the evening after surgery and this next morning before I was discharged. The resident was professional and yet friendly. The first night after surgery I had alot of pain. The nurses were wonderful and took very good care of me. I went today for my 2 week follow up and was seen by Amber, who is wonderful. I also saw Laura for my dietary guidelines and she is always so terrific. I adore her. I've been meeting with Laura for seven months and she has taught me so much. Well I lost 10 lbs since surgery and can now start progressing to soft foods. YUM !! Lots of luck !!
  2. I also had my surgery on 7/22/10 @ Ochsner Jefferson Hwy. Dr. Richardson. Feeling pretty good.
  3. Thanks for your help. I was alittle confused with the post -op diet. I did resume a liquid diet and feel better. However, I was very concerned with possibly doing damage to the band or my stomach. I just needed to hear someone else to reassure me I did not do permanent damage. Thanks so much for your help.
  4. I am one week post op and feel like a fool having to ask this question. I ate a few forkfuls of chicken salad. I immediately developed abdominal pain and severe spasms with right shoulder and chest pain. I know I ate too fast and thought to drink sips of water. After drinking the water and laying down for an hour the pain was relieved. I still feel really full and will not be doing this again. Although I am feeling better I am worried that I possibly caused damage to the lapbad or stitches from the severe spasms. Has anyone else had this happen ?
  5. Just had lapband surgery 3 days ago. Feeling pretty good. Cannot wait to see less of me.:bolt:
