  1. 5'5" initial weight was 246lbs current weight is 233lbs goal weight is 160lbs. I just learned yesterday that my surgery date is 8/26. My process started in December. I had 6 months of diet monitoring, 2 sleep studies (I am using a cpap machine now), psych eval (3 visits), bloodwork, 2 support group sessions and my initial visit with my surgeon. I have left to get a physical from my primary care physician, meet with my surgeon again and all of the pre-op "stuff". I am slowly preparing myself for the liquid diet. It doesn't sound like a lot of fun, but I know it is part of the process. And to make the band work, I know I have to do everything the surgeon tells me to.
