I was overweight ever since I was seven years old. It was mostly genetics, but it changed drastically in the summer of 2008. I started out at 160 lbs just at the age of 10!!! I kept on gaining 20 pounds every 6 months and losing 5 in about a week, gaining and losing. I was getting tired of it. I wanted to start out my school year fresh. I researched for 3 days straight on the computer after watching a show on oprah about a teenage girl under going LAP-BAND surgery. I gathered information and sat down to talk to my mom about it. She straight up said NO WAY! at first. But I convinced her that this is pretty much the only way i'd be healthy. She came to agreements and about 2 weeks after that I had an appointment with DR.Ariel Ortiz in Tijuana, Mexico. I was abit shocked after the surgery, but I got up and walked like nothing happened about 2 hours after! This has been an amazing journey so far! I hope to reach my goal weight soon!
