Have fought my weight beginning as a child.  In my ealier years I started going to weight doctors and taking diet pills.  This is the only way I could keep the weight off.  After my 1st child all of my weight starting packing on and then with the second child I gained more weight.  After my 2 children were born I was never really able to lose the weight and then went on cholesterol, blood pressure and anti depressants.  I looked into having the lapband surgery done the 1st time and researched anything and everything on it.  I was really scared to have this done so postponed all my visits the 1st time.  3 years later I decided it was time to do something about my weight so went to Dr. Lennington and jumped through all the insurance hoops.  My husband carries all the health insurance but I really lucked out compared to some other insurance company restrictions.  All I was required to do was a 6month primary care weigh in, visit with a dietician and a have a psych evaluation.  I submitted all my paperwork as I completed each task to Dr. Lenningtons office and on my final 6 month weigh in visit I immediately turned it in right after the appt.  Dr.Lenningtons office submitted all the info to the insurance company on July 2nd at 2pm and I had my approval for surgery by 3:30pm on July 3rd.  My surgery was scheduled for July 24th, 2009.  On surgery day I was so ready and excited  that I practically danced all the way into the operating room.  LapBand surgery was one of the easiest surgies I have ever had!  My total weight at the beginning of this surgery was 266lbs and my total weight today is 245.  I haven't lost as much as I want but I have had some setbacks.  My gall bladder had to be removed in March of 2010 so all my fluid had to be removed during surgery.  I have since started over on my fills and before gall bladder surgery I was just getting to my green zone.  I am starting over but will have a fill under fluro tomorrow 7/13.  I have come from a size 24 to a size 20 in pants with just what weight I have lost.  Just being able to buy size 20 pants is enough to motivate you and I am determined to keep going and reach my goal!
