I am glad I found this post - I have been having issues since my last fill almost 3 weeks ago. Almost every time I eat it comes back up. Only had .4 cc put in last time and I actually didnt think I needed anything added but I let them decide. I will be calling tomorrow to schedule a slight unfill.

I have been having a horrible time with this since my last fill 2 weeks ago. More food gets stuck now and I can get it unstuck by drinking big gulps of water otherwise I am in the bathroom trying to PB to get unstuck and that is really gross and painful. Is this going to ruin my band????

It is so great to hear from all the people going through these emotions too. I am better since I first did the post - It is really comforting to know I am not alone - We are in this together... :biggrin:

Has anyone else experienced a mood change since getting banded? I am not sure what is going on with me but I seem to have very little patience with anything and have been quick to get angry with other people. I have not yet gone to a support group meeting at the dr office...Maybe I am just feeling alone in my journey. :thumbup: I had my surgery on 07-06-10 and my first fill a couple weeks ago. Anyone else have a change of some kind????

Hi KS - Glad to hear yours went smoothly! Mine did also. She numbed me up first then put in the syringe with saline - she had me watch that when it was in the correct place that she could pull back and get air - she said if it was not in the port she would not be able to get anything in syringe. She put in 4cc and my band holds 10. Made an appointment for 4 weeks from today. So far I am feeling great - first time I havent felt hunger in 2 weeks!

Oooops - forgot to say - I also had a hiatal hernia repaired when they installed band - I too didnt know I had it.... Think I was a little more sore during first couple weeks than others I have talked to.

Hi - I was banded on July 6....First fill will be this Thursday! Can't wait.....last week I have really been getting hungry!

I was just reading through my materials and it says liquid pureed diet the day of the fill. 4 hours prior to fill clear liquids only. Then 2 days of liquid pureed followed by 2 days of mushies.

First thing I have learned and I try to share, when you feel hungry stop and drink a full glass of Water before you eat, about 75% of the time I am just thirsty but my stomach/brain is interpreting it as hunger. Thanks for that advice - get filled next week and have been getting very hungry and a little discouraged.

You can puree just about anything. I really like the Wendy's chili - I have also pureed spaghetti with meat sauce. I add a packet of beneprotein to everything i puree too. I am on puree for 2 more days. Mushies next yay!

Well how soon for alcohol then? I am about 10 days post op and would love a glass of wine but I really do not want to mess myself up after spending all that money!!!!

I was banded on July 6. The PA at the hospital said a week because of the surgical glue they use now. I havent gone in but am itching to. It is gonna be over 100 degrees tomorrow and I always get alot of swimming company on days like that :cool: Don't see the Doc again until Thursday. Probably wise to wait and ask him. Anyone else hear anything about the surgical glue and not having to wait for complete heal???

I don't know the answer but will be restarting my pills soon too and am curious of what to expect. I sure hope that isnt the case but if it is I am sure it will level off.

I am allergic to penecillan so first thing when I get to hospital I am banded with a bright red alert band on my wrist! Well this scares them all. They were very careful about what they gave me. Actually I was being wheeled to the operating room and the anesthesiologist came down hall and said - "what is everyone scared to start her antibiotics" and she did it herself. So they will more than likely be overly cautious. Good luck to you!
