  1. Thank You for all the replies! I have decided not to band for the time being. I started a lifestyle change with better food and exercise last week and have already dropped 10 lbs. I currently have no issues keeping up with the exercise and I am even okay with the portion control. in three months I will re-visit where I am and decide if I need to reconsider the band again. Again, Thank you all for the replies, I wish you all best of luck on your individual journeys.
  2. So, I am just waiting to get my date. I expect it any time now (even today) and I am having major second thoughts. My wife and I talked about this last night and kind of decided on a plan to take a traditional approach, to alter our eating habits, to start walking after dinner and going to the gym in the mornings. It has been about two years since my last major attempt at weight loss. I was derailed back then by plantar fasciitis in both feet... I just cant help but wonder if one last shot at a traditional approach might not be the right thing... it seems to me from my reading all the band does is make you feel full on less food I am so confused now, if I can't do a traditional program how can I expect to do the band and not fail...
  3. hi, this is my first post here  I expect to have a date soon set for August. I have been nothing but nervous bordering on anxiety for the last couple days... I suspect that is the norm, all the questions "what if it doesn't work for me" "maybe I should do Bypass" "should I give non-surgical options another shot" maybe that's just me.... but I suspect nervous is the norm in some form, we are all here for a singular reason and i would be very suspect of someone who was not especially nervous at some point. Good Luck!
