Jstumme, Thanks for the encouragement, I just hope 6 months I can say that for my self. It seems so unreal right now. I can't even immagine being 107 lighter. What I would look like, it has been so long. Thank you again for replying.

I don't need to do a post op diet, they didn't tell me to. But, I guess it would be a good idea, get used to not eating as much. Mel, who wrote the book Body for Life. I need something to go by. My age is bothering me, but the Dr. didn't seem concerned.

I am from Kansas, I will have my surgery Dec. 19, 06. I am excited and aprehensive. I am 67 years old, and have been fighting this weight for25 years, gaining more each year. It will be so nice to be able to walk, and breath while I'm walking. Is there anyone about my age who has been banded. I would like to know if there is much difference in being old and being young. I guess there would be. I am enjoying this site while I wait, I am learning so much from all of you.
