  1. Im kinda in the same boat. I was banded the 22nd of July. I received one fill that was extremely painful as my port was in the process of flipping, he had to have stuck me 10+ times under xray. I went back in to get another fill and my port was completely flipped so I am waiting to get that fixed before I can get any more fills. So it has been slow going with only one fill. I know it is a pretty normal and simple complication to fix but it is so frustrating. I have only lost 20lbs to date but I guess that is 20 I didn't gain.
  2. It was about three days ago and I am just now starting to go back to normal. I will try drinking a whole lot more when I start running again. Thanks for the input.
  3. I finally went from walking to running... YEA!!! After my first run my band is so tight like it got joggled or something. has anyone ever had this happen?
  4. It did it on it's own and you don't even feel it flip. Just one time it is fine and the next time you go in they can't fill you as your port is flipped.
  5. I just found out my port flipped too. I hope it is not too painful to fix. I was thinking about changing operations to the full bypass if I had to go back under. I am just not sure what I am going to do
  6. I think the deal about Ibuprofen is you can't just take tablets. It either has to be liquid or crushed so it doesn't sit in your pouch and make an ulcer.
  7. it was a german yogurt and they tend to be almost no sugar. But I am sure it was a full fat as that is the way they do things around here. It had a slight puree of strawberry in it.
  8. I just got out of the hospital and my friends are AMAZED at how well I feel. I had a small hiatal hernia repair done too. I think it kinda feels like being 7-8 months preg. Your stomach is bloated and it is uncomfortable but not painful. I only got the good stuff the day of the surgery and the next morning. They sent me home with nothing as far as pain meds and tylenol is fine.
  9. I felt great. It was nice to have something cool to eat. Rather refreshing. I had it first thing in the morning.
  10. Yea for the 22nd. That is when I had my surgery too and it was my birthday. The best present I think I could have given myself. My Dr. gave my a thinner yogurt for breakfast second day post op. I live in Germany and they like to keep you in the hospital as long as possible. So nothing was wrong just over cautious doctors my surgery went perfectly and they fixed a small heiatal hernia I didn't know I had. I am drinking protein shakes and sipping water.
  11. I had surgery the 22nd and today is the 24th. I feel uncomfortable and bloated, tire more easily but overall I feel really well.. concidering. I don't think I am up for working but I can manage my errands and do a few things around the house. I think two days is a little early too.
  12. Thanks for all the support. I was just so surprised at how fast it started to move after I spent a year at a snails pace dealing with insurance.
  13. Woo Hoo I finally got approved by my insurance and got to go and see the surgeon last monday the 12th. I figured it would be a month or two before l got a date. Nope he scheduled it for the next week and on my birthday of all days. I am starting to get super nervous. I guess I just figured I would have more time.
