  1. I like daily plate much better than fitday. Daily plate is easy to navigate and has a plathora of food items
  2. I don't really eat fresh fruit, but yesterday I went to Wal-mart, determined to get fresh fruit. Instead I found these little snack packs of fresh fruit. Like something you might pack in your kid's lunch. There were 5 bags inside of one large bag. Each of the smaller bags contained apple slices and grapes. It was right below the bags of salad. I bought a bag and they're good. It's just the right serving and I can shove it in my bag for a snack. Just thought I'd share...
  3. LadyHr--WAY TO GOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! I'm chasing you to "onederland" Ja9va--don't beat yourself up. Don't get a fill, but slowly incorporate exercise---just a little (walking in place while doing dishes--anything; dance to the opening shows on TV orthe commercials) Remember soups go right through-so you could proably eat a gallon and not fill full. Like Suzzie, I try not to measure. They "say" a cup of food is sufficient--but if you need more--make sure you're eating more of the protein. Just my opinion....we're in this together...glad to have you back. Junies...I sent a PM to ToniTech (remember her???) and she responded...she's doing well overallbut not losing or exercising. That's why she stopped posting. I hope she reads this and begins to post again...maybe we could give her a shout out of encouragement. We all have struggles and the key to breaking the habit is to get up and make a change. Change starts in the mind. That's where it all started for all of us. We THOUGHT about losing weight. We THOUGHT about the lapband...etc. Toni, Make your mind, think about yourself and come on back!!!! We miss you!!!
  4. I found it at my local health food market. Alyson---lactose is the name for "milk sugar"--or sugar derived from milk (I think) I did a google seach and found that it is sugar.
  5. Alyson--I will check on the lactose--I'm not sure. Thanks for the suggestion. Colton--do you use the packets or the liquid. Why is using the right amounts difficult? Is it because Stevia is so strong or so weak. Does it have an aftertaste?
  6. Stef--I bought the packets and the clear drops. I bought both because I just wasn't sure which one to get. However, I will carry the drops in my purse. It's a squeeze bottle, (not the dropper)--so if I'm out, I can get water and lemons and make "lemonade" I will keep the packets at home to use in tea.
  7. GOOD FOR YOU SUZZIE!! Buying a new smaller size is the GREATEST feeling. By the way, I went to my neighborhood health food market and they had Stevia in powdered form, dark liquid, clear liquid and in packets (like splenda)
  8. Whole Foods and my area health food market (Cox) sell Stevia in liquid and powder form. It's not that difficult to get. I've had a co-worker who has used it for years.
  9. I have been researching a little today, looking for an all natural sweetner. My church is doing the Daniel Fast for 21 days. Click the link for more information on the Daniel Fast. (This is not my church, but it has helpful information) Water. Chrystal Light has apartame, and artificial sweetner. If you can shed some light on Stevia or a sweet beverage that I can have while doing the Daniel Fast please let me know.
  10. According to what I have read about the Daniel Fast, we must exclude sugar and artificial sweetners. Crystal light contains aspartame, which is an artificial sweetner. I thought that stevia was an all natural sweetner. Stef--get your research cap on and let me know...We're starting Sunday night at 7:00 p.m.
  11. Stef--in my quest to find something to replace Crystal Light with I found a product called Stevia...it's sold in liquid and powder form. I figure I can use it in decaffenated herbal tea. What do you think? You know you are our resident guru
  12. I think I may have found a way to not die of lack of crystal light. There is a product called Stevia. It's sold in liquid and powder form--have you heard of it?
  13. Thanks for the suggestion. I thought about that, but it proably has sugar substitute in it. If we drink fruit juices, they must be 100% fruit juice.
  14. Thanks for the heads-up Suzzie...I'll try them this weekend.
  15. I'm addicted...If I'm not at home, I go on-line using my cell phone!!!! I need a 12 step program for LBT :-)
  16. My church is embarking upon a 21 day fast called "The Daniel Fast". It's mainly fruits and veggies. If you are familiar with it, please share suggestions for meals and products that I should purchase. I'm mainly concerned with getting enough Protein. I NEVER plain drink water--It's always Chrystal Light. I don't think that we can't have sugar or sugar substitute--so PLAIN Water might be the death of me!!!!! All suggestions are welcomed
  17. Thanks...those are EXCELLENT tips.... Where do you get the chinese 5 spice powder? Someone else told me to get my protein from Boca and Morning Star veggie products. I'm going to the store to check them out today. Any other suggestions? What should I have for breakfast?
  18. My church starting 21-days of Change (The Daniel Fast)...It's primarily fruits/veggies (no sugar or sugar substitute). This is going to difficult for me because I NEVER drink water, I substitute Crystal Light for water...but I am going to try hard. I think that eating veggie chili will help me. I'm also going to look into eating stir fried veggies (I'm worried about the sauce). Any suggestions?
  19. Simply Me....YOU'RE LOOKING GREAT...Do you have a "before pix"? 42lbs is GREAT!!!!
  20. I had another fill today. The last time they took out 2ccs and so this time they put the 2ccs back....I have a little over 7 ccs in my 10 cc band My center says I'm doing great....almost 50lbs in 6 months...I'll take it!!!1
  21. Good for you Wombat!!! I have a fill today....so we'll see how it goes...have you posted 6 month pix yet?
  22. beckiet--glad you're better and had no complications....I had my port revision a while back, but I was put under--very lightly. When I came out--I felt like I had just been asleep. Hope all continues to go well for you.
  23. suzzie--you look great!!
  24. SUZZIE....YOU LOOK GREAT!!! I see the bodybugg is your "best friend"...LOL...it's in your pix.... It's so great to "see" the wonderful person behind all of the great posts....
  25. O2B--when you mail Suzzies---mail me some too!!!! LOL--they look GREAT!!!! Your quilts are awesome...Ihave some of my grandmother's quilts. She would do the tops and then take them to the country and have her sisters put the backing on them. I love looking at them because they all contain bits of various dresses that she use to wear. (Back then the quilts weren't as pretty with fabulous designs)
