  1. Hello, I was also banded on 6/30. I lost 6 lbs before my surgery on the preop doet and 7 lbs after (according to my scale) I have not had a follow up with the dr yet. I have started mushies and have not lost anymore weight. Glad to see Im not the only one Good luck!
  2. Great, Thanks! Will have to try a shower, I think that would really make me feel better :tt1: One more question, anyone have a swollen uvula after surgery? Mine is huge and makes it hard to swallow.
  3. Congrats on the weight loss! I still don't own a scale but plan on buying one soon! I was just banded 6/30. When they weighed me preop I had lost 6 lbs from the pre-surgery liquid diet :tt1: I was pretty excited! I can't wait to see what I way one month out and so on!
  4. Hello, I was just banded on 6/30. I have had quite a bit of gas pain and bloating. I have been walking, using heating pad, and gas x strips. How long does the gas pain usually last? I have been drinking 3- 4 oz Protein shakes, chicken broth, and Water. Do you know if Jello is considered a liquid at this stage? Any other liquids I could add for some variety? How long until you could take a shower? I have been doing sponge baths but have not gotten in the water? I have a pool and would love to go swimming, have any of you gone swimming and if so, how long after surgery did you wait? How long does the bloating, back pain, distended stomach last? Thanks!
  5. Yay! Congrats! I can't wait to get in the 100's again1 Haven't seen those numbers on a scale in a long time! Keep up the awesome work!
  6. I'm doing okay. My stomach incisions don't really hurt at all. The pain in my chest from gas has been the worst! I have been trying to stay up and walk as much as possible. I have also been using gas x and heating pad, which seem to help. My uvula is very swollen and is really bothering me. It feels like I have a large piece of food in the back of my throat. I called the dr and they said it is normal and can take several days to go down. It is so annoying. Im doing well on the protein shakes and water. I have also been having chicken broth. I have been having 4 oz of each throughout the day. I know Im supposed to be drinking more water, but I just don't feel like it, Im so bloatred already. I can't wait to start feeling better.
  7. Good Luck to all the people getting banded today!!! I am getting banded on Wednesday! :scared2: So excited!
  8. I will have to look into True Results. I bought my protein shakes at Costco they are made by muscle milk and they aren't bad at all. I wouldn't call them good though lol
  9. Thanks! I am off work for the summer so I have about another month off but I have a one year old to chase after. My mom will be here to help me for four days but maybe I will ask her to stay longer. I have had 3 lap surgeries and was basing the amount of time I needed my mom to come on that. Day one of the liquid diet has started today :scared2:
