  1. I had my band for 22 years and in February I had to have it removed because of slippage. Since then, I have put on 60 lbs. but finally stabilizing on weight just not losing. I have developed edema really bad in my legs and feet. It seems as if my body was in starvation mode and now anything I put in my body it hangs on to it. I am not eating any more than what I ate when I had my lapband because my stomach still feels like it did when I had the lapband. I have tried all kinds of supplements but nothing is working. My bloodwork is normal, my scans are normal, and everything else seems normal. I am just fatigued, hurting, and swollen. The only thing I have added to my diet is salads which I love and couldn't eat when I had my lapband. I still eat very slow still so I get full faster. I just wish there was more research on what your body goes through after the band is removed.
